Once you have a solid easily searchable catalog and a product folder structure in place for every part or service, your next step is to begin to create the Featured Sites for all of your significant markets or served applications.
These Featured sites should demonstrate the value of your products or service for these markets. They should provide additional navigation for your products from a market collection perspective. Ideally, these markets are aligned to your core competencies and the content should be owned by your product marketing managers.
Finally, these pages are Google bait. Every key word phrase that you are promoting and tracking through organic means and your promotional campaigns should have a specific landing page in mind. All promotions should point to this page. Your key word phrases should be embedded in these pages and each one should effectively be Google bait.
Your navigation funnel from your target phrases for Google search queries should all navigate through this target page. If you can focus your efforts to promote each phrase to these targets, you will do well on Google organic visibility.
This Web site is aimed at capturing some of the basic concepts I use when creating integrated marketing programs and leveraging the internet.
